This Privacy Policy explains how Celesta collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our app and website (celestaevent.com).

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email, phone number, account credentials, booking details, payment-related information (processed via supported payment partners such as Razorpay), device/app usage data, location data when you use map features, Google Sign-In profile details if you choose that login method, and support conversation content.

How we use your data

We use your data to create and manage your account, send OTP and login messages, process bookings and invoices, provide customer support, improve the platform, prevent fraud, and meet legal or compliance requirements.

Sharing

We may share necessary booking and contact details with hosts/service providers to fulfil your booking, and with payment or messaging partners who help operate Celesta. We do not sell your personal data.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

Data retention

We retain account and booking records as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise data when no longer required.

Your choices

You may update profile details in the app and contact support to request account-related help, including access or deletion requests where applicable. Some transactional communications are required to operate bookings and security.

Children

Celesta accounts are intended for users aged 18 and above.

Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy. The “Last updated” date on this page will change when we revise it.

Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating a Celesta account or using celestaevent.com, you confirm you are 18+ and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Account & identity

You must provide accurate name, phone, and email details. You are responsible for OTP/login security and all activity under your account.

Marketplace role

Celesta connects customers with independent service providers/hosts. Celesta is a booking platform, not the direct provider of most event services unless stated otherwise.

Bookings

A booking is confirmed only after successful payment (or the status shown in the app). Details such as date, time, guests, location, and service scope must be correct at checkout.

Host terms

Each listing may have its own host Terms & Conditions. Accepting a booking means you also accept that host’s published terms.

Pricing & taxes

Prices shown may include or add platform charges, service tax, and GST as applicable. The amount on your invoice/receipt is final for that booking.

Payments

Payments are processed through Celesta’s supported payment methods (including Razorpay). Failed, reversed, or disputed payments may cancel or hold your booking.

Cancellations & refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the listing/host policy and Celesta’s booking rules at the time of booking. Approved refunds (if any) are processed to the original payment method within a reasonable time.

Conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform, harass hosts/staff, submit false information, attempt fraud, or use Celesta for unlawful events.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Celesta is not liable for host service failures, event outcomes, or indirect/consequential losses beyond fees paid to Celesta for the affected booking (where applicable).

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Mumbai, unless otherwise required by law.
